Discussion on Politics and Culture

Themis & Thoth (T&T) comments on Politics and Culture. Each post covers both aspects in some way.

T&T lays out the framework to start a discussion for a lively debate. We seek to educate and to be educated by the audience in the areas described.

We are building a community of people who want to engage meaningfully with the news, our society, and pop culture. Particularly where all three intersect, creating opportunities for important discussion and learning.

The “WHY” for T&T is to reach as many people as possible— people who seek to be politically and socially informed. We want to create a space for the aforementioned group to speak freely (while respecting others), giving diverse opinions on various topics that are of importance.

It is with a sense of respect and understanding that we approach each other and the community we seek to create.

I ask only that community members respect each other.

About

You can Call me Themis or Thoth, whichever works best for you.

I studied Political Science, International Relations, and Sociology at University in Atlanta Georgia.

Later, I went to China for Grad-school, where I studied international and Chinese Law. My thesis was a comparative study of Chinese and American approaches to “Due Process”…A long story that I am willing to speak in-depth about.

I later went to D.C. to study for my J.D., then later took and passed the N.Y Bar.

I have a Youtube Channel, “Themis & Thoth” which accompanies this blog.

I am particularly interested in the intersectionality of entertainment, law, politics, and culture. As a lifelong student, I created this space to learn and share in the rich experiences of every person willing to respectfully engage.
